Beginning in the mid-2000's, Nick Halverson, along with some inexperienced developers from the USA, decided to purchase and develop land in the Southern Pacific region of Costa Rica. During the first few years, the team made many missteps, hired unqualified tradesmen, and trusted the wrong people.
Those early lessons drove Nick to ensure no one else would have to face the same frustrations and make the same mistakes he did.
For the past ten years, Nick and Hanz Cruz have worked together on all aspects of development, property management, and customer relations. They have met with prospective developers/real estate investors, homeowners, and visitors to Costa Rica. These efforts provided a rich base of cultural, legal, and political knowledge that underlies Osa Property Management's business model.
