On December 14, 2019, the new Ojochal ASADA Office and administration building was opened. There was a large celebration, several tents, food, live music and a ribbon cutting ceremony. The activity had a large presence of over 150 people, including neighbors and community members, officials from different ASADA offices in the Osa region. Additionally, there were and special guests including the Mayor of Osa, Alberto Cole, and senior administrators from AyA.
I was fortunate to be asked to be the masters of ceremonies and to lead the event. It was a great honor to be asked to lead such an important event in the Ojochal community.
Speeches & Live Music
There were several speeches and some live music performed by a local musician. In the speeches the different guests said they were pleased to be in an opening of such importance showing that when they work together, great things are achieved, they also reiterated the admiration for the development that the community of Ojochal has had.
During the activity, attendees were able to enjoy artistic presentations such as the Coronado band and singer Alvaro Hernandez, who made everyone in the audience happy with his music. After the ribbon cutting event the local marching band and drum corp came to entertain.
Ojochal Growth
The new Ojochal ASADA office was necessary due to the old building not being able to sufficiently service the community. When the old building was built, Ojochal was a small community. However, over the past two decade, Ojochal has grown tremendously. With this growth, comes an increase in water demand. New homes, new restaurants and commercial locations, the demand on water, and the administration of the growing system, could not continue to be properly managed in the old building.
Osa Property Management manages several homes in Ojochal, and we have experience working with the Ojochal ASADA.
The new Ojochal ASADA office has a large customer service area, several private offices, a meeting room, a kitchen and a bathroom. It should be enough space to properly administer the Ojochal area for the foreseeable future.
Osa Mayor Alberto Cole, and other dignitaries, cut the ceremonial ribbon to mark the official opening of the ASADA office.
